Bill Bloopers II OK, so it is official now. Airtel is indeed charging me, and a few of
its other customers whom I know, Rs.2 per MB as against the actual
promised tariff of Rs. 1.20. It took me three months, and my lawyer
one week, to be able to speak with their Legal whatever, to get them
to admit this "error". But I guess this is as 'correct' as they can
get. Not sure who is covering who's butt, but they are all (billing,
legal...) trying to now prove that they have also rectified this
error. I must give it to them for their sense of humour...it gets
wonkier and wonkier, its like their customer care guys who drive you
to the brink of insanity and then end the torture with, "thank you
for... blah blah... ma'am. I hope you have a nice day". The fact that their consumer base is increasing at a phenomenal rate?
Consumers are hooked to their services? Myth about competition
ensuring better service in this phase of intense growth? Total and
absolute ignorance of what is expected of a "service" industry? Or
that we usually take crap? |
